| ABOUT The Leyte Gulf is a beautiful and historical body of water. Its coastline includes the beautiful south coast of Samar running form the San Juanico Strait near Tacloban to the Guiuan Peninsula. It also incudes the historic 'Leyte Landing' coast which runs from Tacloban airport to Dulag, and the islands of Homonhon, Suluan and Dinigat. [See Geography ] My wife hails from Barangay Cabuynan, Tanauan, Leyte (on San Pedro Bay) and we have a beach house at San Rafael, Dulag. So I now spend close to half my time in Leyte . If you Google 'Leyte Gulf' you get plenty of websites covering the sea battle for Leyte Gulf and the Leyte Landing, there does not appear to be any general sites covering the Leyte Gulf per se. So I decided to make my own to fill the void and here it is. If you have any suggestions, criticisms or comments please do not hesitate to email me at graham@hammersites.net .
