The Leyte Gulf is a beautiful and historical body of water. Its coastline includes the beautiful south coast of Samar running form the San Juanico Strait near Tacloban to the Guiuan Peninsula. It also incudes San Pedro Bay and the historic 'Leyte Landing' coast which runs along the east coast of Leyte from Tacloban airport to Abuyog.
To the south are the east coast of Southern Leyte and Dinigat Island (Surigao Norte). Major islands in the Gulf are Homonhon, Suluan, Manicani and Hibusan. [See Geography ]

My wife hails from Barangay Cabuynan, Tanauan, Leyte (on San Pedro Bay) and we have a beach house at San Rafael, Dulag. So I now spend close to half my time in Leyte . If you Google  'Leyte Gulf' you get plenty of websites covering the sea battle for Leyte Gulf and the Leyte Landing, there does not appear to be any general sites covering the Leyte Gulf per se. So I decided to make my own to fill the void and here it is.
